Professional folk singer since 1964 having sung folk songs since 1958; I've met and sung with Pete Seeger and Paul Robeson among countless others. Founder member of Kimber's Men - formed in June 2001. Subsequently resigned from Kimber's Men in October 2016. I had been very ill that year (nearly dying in May 2016) from Cancer. So after 15 years I was subsequently told I hadn't been missed in the six months whilst I was in hospital and wouldn't be missed in the future. So I'm working solo again and relieved to be out of a band where I was clearly disliked and not wanted.

"Ballad No. 1" composed by Alfred Cammeyer
Maybelle is the only iconic saint-like figure America has ever produced.
"I CAN'T SWIM! HELP ME! BUBBRRBB! BRBB! BRAH!"
Atheist here lovin' it.
Great harmonies - very moving
I can’t stop watching this. There’s something eerie, fascinating, and even satisfying about a 1940s deep-voiced western black man singing the Chinese national anthem with very accurate pronunciation.
Sad to see all the great REAL county music singers gone.... gospel songs that mean something and word's you could understood......music that was soothing and inspirational.......George Strait last of the older singers left. Don't know if Alan Jackson still kicking or not....thank God for utube snd and old video....can live with that....

Brilliant ~
Thank-you very much for posting this! We regularly saw Arizona Smoke Review as they toured round, including my mother's folk club in Sydenham. They were all consummate musicians and always so exhilarating and fun!
One thing about old Sam, he never let the melody stand on the way of a good break.
One of a very few Englishmen who had heard of and inspired by George Brassens.A sadlyunderappreciated performer.
I love this song but the closed captions could use some work
Arlo grew up to be a pretty dang good musician didn’t he.
That is true country bluegrass music. Awesome!
Earl really deserved his press. What a great picker he was.
I'm curious, what are the lyrics to the song he's singing? Thanks :)
Greatest singer of all time ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Most of the time my dad was a pretty straight laced guy, but Jake would crack him up. I've been waiting for years for his series for BBC2 to get repeated on one of the UKTV channels, but thankfully we have RUclips to provide the occasional fix.
That was a wonderful era in the United States. I grew up at that time and now i am watching this country, under Biden, die.
Thank you for posting this.
oh to be with Jimmy Nail when he first heard Bob Fox's amazing version of his great song.
Earl on the gitbox. Wow.
"Goodnight Irene" was the biggest selling record of 1950! As a little boy of two years of age, I played it over and over on the record player in our big Admiral console AM-shortwave radio. To this day, "Goodnight Irene" brings tears and fond memories to this 76-year-old, mans eyes.
One of the most irritating people of the 20th century.
Ran across this video years ago and was absolutely tickled pink by it. I added it to one of my playlists and listen to it over and over again. But today's the first time I looked you up on the net. Rest in peace Joe, and thanks for all the good music. I know you're singing with the angels in the next world. 🥲

Is anyone else bothered by the way the black ka-moon-ity appropriated the white man’s culture by wearing their pants below their nasty @$$e$ they way String Bean does? He was the first one to do it.
His daughter has exactly the same phrasing ❤
How to turn a loss into a positive celebration of Christy’s life. 👏👏👏👏
John Denver’s version is my favorite but Pete’s is a close second
I can’t believe I live one town over and it’s in NY. So disgusting.

Great writing and a great ballad.
thank you this is fabulous
Bela looks like Eddie Van Halen 🤣
i'm a Brit but just so love this song as he sings about his nations transition and people the world over can identify with this sentiment as we nostalgically look back to the years of our lives that have gone rushing by.
Love his clothes, straight up, Pimpin
Please, increase volume ! ! ! Thanks!
Is this Merle Fest? what year is this?
To my love Njeri, in by inch, I'll make our love garden grow. May God bless the seed I'll sow, keep those kids safe. Grain for grain, sun, and rain, I'll find my way in nature's chain to give you the best of this land and tune my body to the music of our dream.
classic
Now I can die!
So beautiful 💕💕the Weavers will live forever in their songs 🤩
String Bean was the real deal , no telling what he would have done if he had lived longer , he was an amazing talent...
I appreciate his singing so much as I remember him singing during those post WW11 years of Peaceful anti war demonstrations and the trials people were going through at that time...
Stringbean always makes my heart 💜 ❤️ feel easy.
